  • How long does the dreamer type quiz take?

    Ten questions, one tap each, and it advances on its own as you answer. Most people are through it in about ninety seconds. There is no timer, so you can take as long as you want, and a Back link lets you revisit the question you just answered.

  • Do I need an account to take the quiz?

    No. There is no signup, no email step and no payment. You answer the ten questions and your result appears straight away.

  • How are the 16 dreamer types built from four axes?

    Each question belongs to one of four axes: how much you steer a dream, where it is set, how intense it gets, and how much of it survives the morning. Whichever side of an axis you choose more often becomes that axis's letter, and the four letters in order form your code, such as LCVA. Two options on each of four axes is what gives 16 possible codes.

  • Are my quiz answers stored?

    The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are scored on your device and are not sent to a server. Your four-letter code and your per-axis tallies are saved in your own browser's local storage so the site can greet you with your result later, and clearing your browser storage removes them. The privacy page covers what Somni stores for the rest of the app.

  • Can I retake the quiz?

    As often as you like. Finishing it again simply overwrites the result saved in your browser, and there is a Retake link on your result page.

  • What if I feel like I am between two types?

    That is a fair reading of yourself and nothing is wrong. Two of the four axes are decided by three questions each, so they always have a clear winner, but the other two are decided by two questions each and can come out even. When that happens the quiz falls back to a fixed default for that axis, so an even split still produces a letter. Read both type descriptions and keep whichever sounds more like your nights.
