How Somni works
Paste a dream into the box above — a sentence or two about what happened and who was there is enough — and Somni reads it back to you. You get the archetype at the centre of it, the mood it was running on, the characters, places and symbols it leaned on, and one reflective question to sit with. It takes seconds, it is free, and it does not ask for an account or a name.
Readings are written by an AI model reading your text, not by a person and not from a dream dictionary. They are here for reflection and entertainment, not medical or psychological advice. What a dreamer type is
A reading is about one night. A dreamer type is about your nights in general. Somni describes them with four questions: how much you steer the dream, whether it builds a new world or bends the one you live in, how loud it gets, and how much of it survives the alarm. Each question has two answers, so four letters stack into a code — LCVA, WEMF — and there are sixteen of them in total.
None of the sixteen is the good one. They are descriptions, not scores, and the point of having sixteen rather than four is that the combination says more than any single letter does. The quiz is ten questions and about ninety seconds, with no signup, and it hands you your four letters plus the full write-up of the type they spell.
What your mythology becomes
One dream is a reading. A month of them is something else. When you save dreams to an account, Somni keeps the cast: the people who keep turning up, the places you keep being sent back to, the objects that refuse to stay in one dream. Over time that log is what a personal mythology is — not an interpretation handed down to you, but your own recurring material, finally written down somewhere you can see it all at once.
