The Four Dream Axes
Four questions. Two answers each. That is the whole machine.
A dreamer type is just four answers stacked into a code. Each axis below gets its own page: both sides written out in full, and the eight dreamer types that live on each one. None of this is a diagnosis — it is here for reflection and entertainment, not medical or psychological advice.
- Pilot ↔ Passenger
Do you steer your dreams, or ride them?
Lucid — You take the wheel in your dreams. Wandering — You ride the current wherever it flows.
Lucid dreamers take the wheel: they notice something is off and start steering. Wandering dreamers let the current carry them and see where it goes. This axis is the first letter of your code, L or W.

Do your dreams build new worlds, or bend the one you already live in?
Celestial — Your dreams build impossible worlds. Earthbound — Your dreams remix real life, slightly wrong.
Celestial dreams build places that do not exist — impossible architecture, skies with the wrong number of moons. Earthbound dreams reuse your kitchen and your commute, slightly wrong. This axis is the second letter, C or E.

Why are some dreams technicolor and others barely there at all?
Vivid — Technicolor, loud, high-stakes. Misty — Soft, hazy, more feeling than film.
Vivid dreams come with a plot, a cast and a soundtrack loud enough to quote at breakfast. Misty dreams leave a mood and no footage to explain it. This axis is the third letter, V or M.

Why do some dreams follow you all day, and others are gone by the kettle?
Anchored — Your dreams follow you into the day. Fleeting — Your dreams dissolve like fog.
Anchored dreams follow you into the afternoon and can still be told years later. Fleeting dreams dissolve on contact with daylight, however big they were. This axis is the last letter, A or F.
